Xiaomi devices are getting MIUI 10.3.1.0 update currently with the latest Security Patch. The Xiaomi Redmi 4/4X, Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Mi 8/8 Pro, and Mi Max 3 are in the list. All these devices have received the MIUI 10.3.1.0 update recently. Meanwhile, the Redmi Y2 (Redmi S2 in China) also gets the MIUI 10.3.1.0 update with April Security Patch. The update also fixes issues like ending calls taking longer than expected, call time bubble overlapping notification icons, face unlocks prompt taking longer to disappear, low battery icon missing in landscape mode and incorrect notification badges on WhatsApp. All of these bugs now fixed as confirmed by the brand.

But soon after the update rolled out, one of the Mi Community Device team’s member informed that it is currently available to limited Redmi Y2 units, and a wider rollout will begin once they receive successful feedback. Here’s what the Device team’s member said:
This update is currently available for some random users and will be available soon after successful feedback.
Though MIUI 10.3.1 is coming as a stable update and has enabled the Dark Mode by default on some devices. Now, the issue is that the users aren’t able to find a proper way to revert back this change. Meanwhile, the factory Reset option won’t work as well. The dark theme will remain the same if you’re updated to MIUI 10.3.1.0 version.
Thanks to one of the Redmi 4X users has shared a trick to disable the dark theme easily. He mentioned that installing the ‘Theme for Telegram’ and then disabling the Dark Mode is possible now.

- Go to Google Play Store > find and install Theme for Telegram.
- Then open it and go to Setting > Disable Night Mode.
